Overview and guidance

Through the Place Shaping Programme, each Alliance area (based on electoral wards) is offered up to £5,000 in seed funding to support local community-led projects.

These projects must respond to local needs and priorities identified through asset mapping and community consultation. The funding can fully support a standalone project or be used as match funding for a larger initiative, provided the project is completed within the same financial year.

• All projects must be completed before 31/12/25
• The application deadline is August 4ydd 2025
• The minimum funding request is £1,000
